FORMER FIVE OAKS RESIDENT SENTENCED FOR CHRISTMAS STROLL ROBBERY
A former resident of the troubled Five Oaks Residential Treatment Center in New Ulm has been sentenced to prison time in 21st District Court.
18-year old Jaremiah Mitchell, who was a resident of the troubled facility when he was arrested last December, has been sentenced to six years in prison by Judge Carson Campbell on a charge of Robbery.
Mitchell was arrested along with four other residents of Five Oaks, during last year’s Brenham Christmas Stroll after they allegedly robbed a person near downtown Brenham.
Also sentenced in Thursday’s edition of District Court:
26-year old Alexander William Clark of Brenham, sentenced to one year in jail for Felony Possession of Marijuana. Clark was arrested in December of 2016.
43-year old Jason Todd Hrochovy of Brenham, placed on six years’ probation for Impersonating a Public Servant.
Hrochovy was also fined $500 and ordered to undergo drug and alcohol evaluation.
19-year old Tyrese Bennet of Houston was placed on five years’ probation and fined $1500 for Deadly Conduct-Discharge of a Firearm – a Third Degree Felony.
Bennett must also attend an anger management class.
And, 45-year old Kelli Leigh Weed of Brenham, placed on three years’ probation for Felony Abandon/Endanger a Child.
Weed was also fined $500 and ordered to perform 75 hours community service.
