Travis County Sheriff’s deputies have now arrested a fourth person in a murder-for-hire plot that ended with the death of an Austin jeweler.

21-year old Arieon Oneal Smith is charged with Capital Murder.  He is the fourth person arrested in connection with the murder of Ted Shaughnessy, March 2.

Shaughnessy's son, Nicolas, who lived in College Station has been indicted on a capital murder charge. His wife, Jaclyn is also accused in this plot, along with Johnny Roman Leon III.

According to court documents, Smith told investigators he met with Leon in College Station the day before the killing, but says he refused to participate in the plot.

Investigators say Smith’s DNA was found at the crime scene, and his cell phone records show usage in Austin at the time of the murder.

Smith is being held at the Travis County Jail on a $1 million cash bond.
