MULTIPLE WRECKS TUESDAY MORNING IN BRENHAM
Update: Traffic has been cleared after several traffic accidents this (Tuesday) morning in Brenham.
One of the accidents was a T-bone collision, occurring after 7:20 a.m. on Highway 36 North and West Blue Bell Road. One of the drivers in that accident was taken to Baylor Scott and White in Brenham with non-life threatening injuries.
The second collision occurred before 8 a.m., at Highway 290 West and FM 2679. A Dodge pickup was attempting to turn onto Highway 290, and pulled into the path of a westbound Nissan Sentra.
Both of the drivers were treated at the scene and were released. It was reported the Nissan briefly caught fire, but it was put out quickly. The heavy fog this morning is considered to be one of the key factors of the accident.
