TWO TAKEN TO HOSPITAL AFTER HEAD-ON COLLISION NORTH OF CALDWELL

  

Highway 36 north of Caldwell has been reopened, following a head-on collision this (Thursday) afternoon.

DPS Sergeant Jimmy Morgan reports the accident occurred around 1:30 p.m., near Davidson Creek.  A passenger car was headed north on Highway 36, when it crossed over into the path of a southbound pickup.

The driver of the passenger car was airlifted to CHI St. Joseph in Bryan, while the driver of the pickup was taken by ambulance.  Both were reported to have serious injuries.

The road was shut down for about two hours, but has since reopened.
