BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH SECOND BRAZOS CO. ROBBERY

A Brenham man has now been charged in a second armed robbery in Brazos County.
Rufus Lockett, the man suspected of gunning down a convenience store employee in College Station is also a suspect in a convenience store shooting in Bryan.
Lockett was arrested for the deadly robbery that occurred last week at the Valero store on Rock Prairie Road in College Station.
54-year old Anita Jean Randle, was shot numerous times during that robbery. She was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Lockett has now also been charged with Aggravated Robbery and Possession of a firearm by a felon for the December 3rd shooting of a clerk at the Apple Stop gas station on East Villa Maria Road in Bryan.
The victim of the Apple Stop shooting remains hospitalized, recovering from his injuries. Bryan police said they are looking for another person of interest in that case.
