FOUR MEN ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY OF HOME NEAR GIDDINGS

Authorities have arrested four men and are searching for a fifth suspect, for burglarizing a home near Giddings.
Around 9 a.m. Thursday, the men were seen taking property from inside a home located in the 7500 block of FM 141, northeast of Giddings. The suspects fled the scene in a white Dodge Charger.

Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies saw the Charger headed south on FM 141, towards Giddings, and began a pursuit with the suspect vehicle after it would not pull over. The pursuit ended around FM 141 and County Road 116.

Four of the suspects were immediately taken into custody. They are identified as 27-year-old Darris Boone of Richmond, 29-year-old Shane Johnson of Katy, 25-year-old Terrance Johnson of Houston, and 36-year-old Kurt Shepard of Dime Box.
The fifth suspect escaped on foot, and has not been found. That suspect is described as a black male, in his late 20’s to early 30’s, wearing camouflage.

Deputies learned, upon returning to the residence, that the suspects were burglarizing the home when a witness spooked them.
Around $2,000 in stolen items were recovered from the Charger. The suspects ransacked the home and caused damage to the interior. There is currently not a monetary estimate available on damages to the home.
Anyone with information on the fifth suspect is asked to call Lee County Crime Stoppers at 1-866-930-8477. They are offering up to $1,000 for info leading to an arrest.
People have all this time to go out and organize how to commit crimes….not to mention several crimes! WHY can’t they go an be productive citizens on someone’s job-site?!??
And yet somehow the elusive Burton bank robber and DB Cooper have never been found!
