SOMERVILLE HIRES NEW CITY ADMINISTRATOR

  

The City of Somerville has hired a new city administrator.

Ismael “Danny” Segundo was approved earlier this month by the Somerville City Council to take the post, beginning next Monday (12/31).

Segundo, the current public works director for the City of Meadow Place, has agreed to a two-year $80,000 contract.

Segundo was one of two finalists for the post.

Interim City Administrator Kerry Lacy says Segundo was selected due to his knowledge and strong background in all areas of public projects.

Many residents had urged the council to specifically address street repairs as a priority issue for the new administrator.
