MEXIA SCHOOL TEACHER JAILED FOR HUMAN TRAFFICKING
A Mexia school teacher has been arrested in a multi-agency human trafficking investigation in Central Texas.
Investigators with the Freestone County Sheriff's Office, Wednesday, arrested 37-year old Amber Michelle Parker for human trafficking.
Parker, a teacher in the Mexia ISD, is currently in the Freestone County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
Officials say she was attempting to traffic an under aged relative online to multiple men in Morocco, posting semi-nude photos of the female child online.
Authorities say the victim has been taken out of the area and is safe; staying with her father who picked up the child while Parker was in Morocco.
Freestone County Sheriff J. Shipley says the arrest of Parker was a team effort spearheaded by Freestone County Investigator Sgt. Preston Cordova and McLennan County Detective Joseph Scaramucci.
The Sheriff said the investigation started because of a tip and urged the public to report this type of activity to law enforcement.
I’m very glad she was reported and removed she definitely doesn’t need to be around kids.It just goes to show these type of crimes can be committed by anyone we should never feel only a certain kind of people are those who look mean or different than what some call normal commit crimes these crimes are committed every day by innocent faces just like hers. I’m very glad someone reported her and that child is safe.
Pure evil. Jail is too good for this woman.
Are you kidding me??? This is a person we are supposed to trust our own children with and she is trying to sell her own family member. What a sick, twisted individual.
