BICYCLIST KILLED IN SOUTH BRAZOS CO.

  

A bicyclist is dead after he was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday afternoon in south Brazos County.

47-year old Kenneth Spence, of College Station, was struck by a vehicle just before 4:00 p.m. along the Highway 6 northbound feeder road at Peach Creek Cutoff near Peach Creek Road, just north of Santa’s Wonderland.

A spokesperson with DPS says a Chevrolet Suburban was traveling on the feeder road when it struck Spence. The driver told authorities he couldn't see Spence because of the sun.

The accident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed.
