BLUEBONNET PERFORMING SCHEDULED POWER LINE UPGRADES WEDNESDAY

  

Power will be shut off to just under 600 Bluebonnet Electric members in Washington County tomorrow (Wednesday) morning, as crews begin their scheduled power line upgrades.

Members near Old Washington and Chappell Hill in Eastern Washington County will be affected tomorrow morning, as power will be interrupted between 9 and 10:30 a.m.

The affected areas include the Doe Run Farms subdivision, near FM 1155, FM 2193, Hughes Lake Lane, Harry Franklin Road, Felder Road, Kolkhorst Schultz Road, Running River Lane, Running Valley Lane and Borgstedte Road.

Bluebonnet General Manager Matt Bentke said roughly 100 employees and 60 vehicles will be in the area, working to complete the conversion with minimal impact to members.  He said all possible precautions are taken to make these jobs safe.

Bluebonnet has been contacting members who are to be affected by the outage to inform them of the length of time they will be without power.  Residents are asked to be cautious and aware of work crews.

These power line upgrades will increase the voltage carried through the lines.  Bluebonnet officials say the upgrades are needed to serve the growing demand for electricity in the area.
