CUBETTES POWER PAST PAETOW, 13-2
The Brenham Cubettes erupted for seven first-inning runs and never looked back, as they rolled past Paetow, 13-2, Tuesday night at Alumni Field.
The hot start was keyed by a two run single by Caroline Schroeder. The Cubettes (17-9/5-6) also took advantage of three Panther errors, three walks and two hit batters in rolling up a 7-1 lead.
In the bottom of the third, Kaitlin Whitehead singled and scored on Kenley Mikolajchak’s two-run homer.
Brenham added four runs in the fourth, as McGee Eschete drove home sister Kramer with a single and Whitehead drove in two more runs with a double.
Amanda Little went the distance, giving up two runs on five hits and striking out six.
The Cubettes will hit the road Friday, travelling to Bryan to face Rudder at 6:30—6:10 pre-game on KWHI AM 1280/FM 101.7/www.kwhi.com
