FOUR ARRESTED FOR AUTO BURGLARIES IN SEALY

  

Police in Sealy have arrested four men in connection to several auto burglaries.

According to a release from the Sealy Police Department, a citizen early Tuesday morning saw several suspicious people in the area of Meadowlark Circle and Robin Road.  The citizen saw the subjects leave in a dark-colored Ford Truck.  Out of concern for his neighborhood, he called 911 and reported the suspicious activity to police.

Once officers arrived, they found and stopped a vehicle matching the description given on Silliman Street.  Officers made contact with the driver and two other male passengers.

While searching the vehicle, police found drug paraphernalia and a pistol.  They returned to the area of the original call and discovered evidence that these same subjects had committed multiple auto burglaries in the area.  Officers also learned of a fourth suspect that had fled the area on foot.

As a result of investigation, all stolen property was located and the four suspects were arrested.  They are 17-year-old David Navarro, 17-year-old Joseph Morgan, 18-year-old Abel Hernandez, and 19-year-old Jose Buenrostro, all of Sealy.  They were all charged with Burglary of Motor Vehicles, Theft of a Firearm, and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.

Police remind everyone to always lock their vehicles, garage doors and gates, and never leave weapons or other valuables inside an unattended vehicle.
