CHI-ST JOSEPH TO ACQUIRE C.S. MED

  

The College Station Medical Center will soon become part of CHI St. Joseph Health.

An agreement was signed Thursday, with the transfer expected to be complete later this year.

St. Joseph Health CEO Theron Park says his company, “…is excited by the possibility of bringing College Station Medical Center into the system,” and the “…potential alignment can ensure that the healthcare facilities have a strong, sustainable future in the Brazos Valley.

America Farrell, CEO of The Med, says  “College Station Medical Center and CHI St. Joseph Health have a solid working relationship,” and are “…excited by the possibility of working together to build upon the experience and care for patients.”

The move reportedly will not affect day-to-day operations at any of the facilities at this time.
