BRENHAM WAL-MART TO SOON OFFER CURBSIDE SERVICES

  

Starting Friday, Wal-Mart in Brenham will feature curbside pickup.

With this service, customers will be able to choose items and pay for them online or via the Wal-Mart app, and come to pick them up at the store.

Local store co-manager Rhio Ontiveros said once customers arrive for pickup, an employee will bring their groceries out to them.

 

A small service fee will be added to each order for using the service.  Correction: There is no fee to use the service, but it will require a minimum order of $30.

Ontiveros said this will be a great benefit for shoppers.

 

The beginning of the service coincides with the store’s re-grand opening Friday morning, celebrating the store’s remodeling.  The celebration will be held at 8:30 a.m., featuring local dignitaries and vendors providing samples.  There will also be roughly $6,000 in grant money given to local charities.
