HAZARDOUS MATERIALS INCIDENT REPORTED AT SNOOK BUSINESS

  

Several agencies responded to a Burleson County business Tuesday morning to investigate a suspicious substance.

Authorities were called to Slovacek Foods in Snook, after a white substance was discovered in the parking lot, in a package delivered to the store.

According to the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office, the material was collected and handed over to federal law enforcement for testing.  There was no danger to the public.

Crews onsite included the Sheriff’s Office, Snook volunteer firefighters, a College Station hazmat unit, and CHI St. Joseph’s EMS.
