BURTON TEENS SETTING UP FREEDOM OF SPEECH RALLY AT WASHINGTON CO. COURTHOUSE
A pair of Burton teenagers are putting together a rally this weekend in downtown Brenham.
Brayten Rolling and Katryna Allen, both students at Burton High School, will host a freedom of speech rally Saturday afternoon outside the Washington County Courthouse.
Rolling said the event is about supporting the constitutional rights of all citizens.
Rolling said he and Allen wish more people their age would get involved in politics, and hope this rally will help inspire the next generation of citizens.
The two said they are working on getting a guest speaker for the event, with Rolling saying he has been in touch with several politicians and media representatives.
The rally will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at the courthouse gazebo.
