BRYAN POLICE INVESTIGATING AFTER BODY FOUND IN ROADWAY ON TEXAS AVE.
Authorities in Bryan are continuing to investigate the body of a man found early this (Monday) morning in the middle of the road.
According to Bryan police, officers responded around 12:30 a.m. to the 500 block of North Texas Avenue, for a deceased person in the roadway. Officers arrived to find a male in the northbound lane with what they said were obvious signs of trauma.
Police believe the man was hit by a vehicle, but circumstances surrounding the incident were unknown. The victim’s name has not been released, pending family notification.
Texas Avenue was shut down between 21st Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Street as officers investigated the scene. The road has since been reopened.
