BLINN CONSTRUCTION HEADS BUILDING PERMITS FOR JUNE

  

A pair of construction projects at Blinn College in Brenham made up over half the dollar amount of the city’s building permits in June.

One permit was issued to Collier Construction for $1,278,310, for new construction of the Blinn Agriculture Building.  The 6,000 square-foot complex, expected to be completed in January, will feature a livestock demonstration room, tack room, preparation room, farrowing house, and a covered pavilion.

Meanwhile, a $993,500 permit was issued to Blinn for site improvements, including work on sidewalks and parking areas.  The improvements, contracted out to Madison Construction, are scheduled for completion in August.

A total of 26 permits were issued in June, worth $3,368,928.   Last June, 30 permits were issued for $2,242,560.

Four new residence permits were issued in June, for $603,390.  So far this year, 32 new residences have been permitted, for $4,537,186.

So far this year, 148 permits have been issued by the city for $31,110,527.  Through last year at this point, 146 permits were issued for $24,985,746.
