STILL NO WORD ON IDENTITY OF SUSPICIOUS SUBSTANCE FOUND AT SNOOK BUSINESS
FBI testers are still awaiting results on an unknown substance found last week outside a business in Burleson County.
Last Tuesday, a white substance was found in an envelope in the parking lot of Slovacek Foods in Snook. Multiple first responders, including the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office, Snook Volunteer Fire Department, College Station Fire Department, and CHI St. Joseph EMS, cordoned off the area and helped collect the substance.
FBI’s San Antonio office released a statement confirming that personnel there did respond to the scene and helped with investigation.
Although authorities determined there was no immediate threat to the public, protocol calls for additional testing. FBI spokespersons said investigation remains pending, as tests have come back negative and the substance needs additional analysis.
No one was injured in the incident, and, according to the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office, no arrests have been made.
