C.S. MAN INDICTED FOR FATAL 2017 CAR CRASH
A College Station man has been indicted by a Brazos County grand jury for his role in a deadly crash in College Station in December of 2017.
19-year old Madeen Maredia is charged with manslaughter and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The indictment alleges Maredia caused the two vehicle crash on University near Tarrow. According to police, Maredia was speeding, failing to stay in a single lane and failing to maintain a proper lookout.
The driver who was killed in the crash was identified as 63-year old Maria Palomares of Bryan.
According to a civil lawsuit Maredia filed against his insurance company, he claims the other driver failed to yield the right of way and turned in front of him.
Maredia free on $75,000 dollars bond.
