MAN CHARGED WITH MURDER AFTER BODY OF MISSING PERSON FOUND IN BURLESON CO.
A Caldwell man has been arrested for murder in the midst of a missing person case in Burleson County.

35-year-old Michael Leonard McFarlane has been charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.
McFarlane’s arrest was announced Tuesday in an ongoing investigation by the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Rangers, into the disappearance of 36-year-old Zachary Edward Evan Rockwell of Arkansas.
According to investigators, Rockwell was last seen by family members May 27th, and reported missing this past Sunday. New information received on Monday led investigators to discover a body believed to be Rockwell’s. The body was found Tuesday morning near a home in the 1300 block of Tiger Lane, northwest of Caldwell.
The body was sent to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death and to be identified. McFarlane remains in custody at the Burleson County Jail.
No other information has been released, as investigators continue to work on this developing case.
