CALDWELL MAN ACCUSED OF MURDER RELEASED ON BOND
A Caldwell man accused in the shooting death of an Arkansas man has been released from jail after his bonds were reduced.

35-year-old Michael Leonard McFarlane was released Monday night, after his total bonds were lowered from $450,000 to $270,000 by District Judge Carson Campbell.
McFarlane is charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse in connection to the death of 36-year-old Zachary Rockwell of Arkansas.
The body of Rockwell was recovered July 9th near a home northwest of Caldwell, after he was reported missing two days prior by family members.
According to Burleson County District Attorney Julie Renken, Rockwell suffered a gunshot wound to the head from a handgun. Official autopsy results are pending with the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The next court date for McFarlane is set for September 16th.
