GIDDINGS CHAMBER BANQUET AUGUST 6TH AT AMERICAN LEGION HALL

  

The 97^th Giddings Chamber of Commerce Banquet is set for Tuesday at the Giddings American Legion Hall.

Social hour will begin at 6 p.m., with a meal following at 7 p.m. and awards presentation at 8 p.m.  This year’s banquet theme is “Rural Texas is the Real Texas”.

The Giddings Chamber office has announced the recipients of the Community Awards that will be presented at the banquet.  Those include:

• Citizen of the Year: Paul Kipp
• Lifetime Achievement: Ruth Jatzlau
• Business of the Year: Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home
• Civic Organization of the Year: Lincoln Volunteer Fire Department
• Youth Organization of the Year: F5 Campaign, Christine Mittasch
• Community Service Award: Leroy Wachsmann
• The Legacy Award: Mayor Pro Tem Fred Jones
