RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL ADDS NEW EVENTS
A number of new attractions have been added for the 45th annual Texas Renaissance Festival, which kicks off October 5th in Plantersville.
The largest Renaissance themed-event in the nation features more than 500 shops, 50 world renowned performers, musicians and dancers, and attracts more than half a million visitors each year.
Two new acts will join the festival: Opal and Jade Off Colored Treasures – a "bawdy singing sister act"; and Full Armored Combat, will perform at the The Cloister and the Green.
Several new shops are also planned for this year, including Dragon and Unicorn Coffee, Blazn Brazen handcrafted copper and brass and a children's swords and costume shop.
Attendees can also expect two new medieval games: the new DaVinci Arcade and the Cliffhangers Challenge.
The festival will run Saturdays, Sundays and Thanksgiving Friday through Dec. 1. For more information go to: www.texrenfest.com.
KWHI and KETX-106 will be giving away tickets to the 45th Texas Renaissance Festival.
