API BASS TOURNAMENT FRIDAY, SATURDAY AT LAKE SOMERVILLE

  

The Brazos Valley Chapter of the American Petroleum Institute (API) is getting ready to host the 2019 API Bass Tournament at Lake Somerville.

The tournament will take place this weekend at the Lake Somerville Marina and Campground.  Registration gets underway at 5 p.m. tomorrow (Friday) afternoon.  Complimentary food and beverages will be served during sign-up, and kids’ games will also be available.

The fishing action gets started Saturday morning at 6 a.m., and tournament coordinator Dwayne Williams says people will have the chance to set some record-breaking fish get reeled in.

 

Proceeds from the event go toward local charities and educational endowments.

KTEX-106’s Blake Hickerson will be broadcasting live tomorrow evening from Lake Somerville.  KTEX-106 will also have hourly tournament reports Saturday, starting at 7:35 a.m.
