BURLESON CO. FAIR ACTIVITIES UNDERWAY
Fair season is all wrapped up in Washington County, but it’s just getting started in Burleson County.
The 72nd Annual Burleson County Fair began Saturday with a parade through downtown Caldwell. Livestock judging, entertainment, and other activities at the Burleson County Fairgrounds get underway later this week.
Four contestants are vying for the title of Burleson County Fair Queen this year. They are Michaela Jaster, Kaitlyn Kindt, Jessica Enrique, and Paige Odenbach. The Fair Queen contest and crowning will be held Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The Little Miss Contest will also be held that night.
Entertainment this year will feature a free gospel concert and the Texas Unlimited Band Thursday night. Friday will host the Crossroads Band and Diamond Rio. Saturday will see the Crossroads Band return, and Pat Green will also take the stage.
Burleson County Fair Association President Dennis Gaas says the fair committee really focused on getting together a good lineup.
Tickets are available at the gate for $10 Wednesday and Thursday, and for $15 on Friday and Saturday. There is no charge for children 8-years-old or younger. Seniors get in for $2 on Thursday, Senior Citizens Day.
