FARM BUREAU NAMES TOP FARMER AND RANCHER

The Washington County Farm Bureau has named the 2019 outstanding farmer and rancher of Washington County.

Jody Naumann has been named a 2019 outstanding farmer and rancher award winner.

Bureau President Larry Winkelmann of Burton says Naumann, “was a perfect match for the award.”

Naumann’s family history goes back to the day of the cattle drives in the late 1800’s.  Winkelmann says Naumann is, “A firm believer that you should take care of the land and the land will sustain and take care of you, the ecosystem, wildlife and cattle."

Members representing the county’s 3,756 members, voted on policy to be forwarded to the Waco policy development committee.

Those passed by the committee will be voted on at the Texas Farm Bureau annual meeting in San Antonio December 7-9.

Directors elected were: William Luedermann, Linda Oberhoff and Marcus Broesche.
