BRENHAM P.D. ARRESTS TWO ON WARRANTS

Two people face charges after their arrests on outstanding warrants, over the weekend in Brenham.
Friday morning, around 9:30, local police pulled over 40-year old Juan Zapata of Hempstead on a traffic stop in the 1300 block of South Chappell Hill St..
Investigation revealed Zapata was wanted on an active warrant out of Waller County for Failure to Appear for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Zapata was placed in custody and transported to Washington County Jail.

Late Saturday evening, Brenham Police pulled over 24-year old Jose Angel Reyes-Leyva of Houston.
Reyes-Leyva was wanted out of Harris County for Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information 50 or More—A First Degree Felony.
Reyes-Leyva was taken into custody and transported to the local jail.
