HOUSTON MAN ARRESTED BY LOCAL AUTHORITIES AFTER CHASE

A Houston man is in custody after two-county chase, early Sunday morning.
Police say 45-year old Michael Troy Pruitt fled after he was identified as the suspect in an assault at a residence in the 1400 block of Stone Hollow Drive.
Pruitt, who is accused of attacking a victim at the Stone Hollow address, led authorities on chase involving Brenham Police and Washington County Sheriff’s deputies.
The pursuit led into Waller County, where Washington County deputies were able to lay down spike strips.
Pruitt was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail. He was charged with Evading Arrest with a Vehicle, Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member and an outstanding warrant out of Harris County for Felony Assault.

Houston Police and Harris County needs to serve these warrants. Last week they lost one of their own because they failed to serve a warrant, even when they were given his current address. Thank you BPD and Washington County job well done.
