“BEAST ON THE MOON” OPENING OCTOBER 31ST AT UNITY THEATRE
Unity Theatre in Brenham will soon continue its 25th anniversary season with the first Studio Series act of the year.
“Beast on the Moon”, a drama by Richard Kalinoski, opens October 31st and runs through November 10th.
Directed by Ryan Schabach and inspired by true events, the play tells the story of Aram, an Armenia refugee, with his young “main-order” bride, Seta. The two are both survivors of the Armenian Genocide, but their painful, shared experience does nothing to help their life in a new country.
The show’s run begins Halloween night at 7:30 p.m. with a preview performance, featuring a talk-back with the cast and crew following the play. The show will be presented at the preview rate of $17. Director Ryan Schabach will chat with the audience prior to the show on November 9th.
Show times are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 4 p.m.
Unity’s Guest Artist Workshop offered during the run of “Beast on the Moon” will be taught by Ally Oliphint, and will take place Saturday, November 3rd from noon to 2 p.m. The class is entitled “Imagination Station: Basics of Acting”, and is designed for children kindergarten through 2nd grade.
Tickets are $25 and are reserved, but seating is not assigned. Student tickets are always $15, and any unsold seats are $15 at 15 minutes prior to any performance.
Circle Members and Subscribers can now make reservations. Tickets go on sale to the public next Monday, October 21st. To learn more, or to purchase tickets, visit www.unitybrenham.org.
