Starting on Friday and running through Sunday, festival goers will be able to enjoy music from talented musicians, live mural artists, art vendors and exhibits, craft beer, and food trucks.  The festival is free and open to the public.

This year’s featured artists are Helena Martin and SLOKEONE, both of Austin, who will paint murals at the festival.

Festival Board Chairman Brad Stufflebeam said the festival has already made quite an impact on downtown Brenham in just a few years.

The entertainment lineup showcases bands from across the state, including a downtown dance party Friday night at 7 p.m. with the Shekere Band.  The Brenham Children’s Chorus will kick off Main Stage performances on Saturday at 2 p.m., followed by the Blue Grooves, Jomo and the Possum Posse, Sour Bridges, and Chandler and the Bings.  Headlining Saturday night at 9 p.m. will be Jody Booth and his Rather Large Honky Tonk Band.  Sunday will feature the Brown Sugar Band at 11 a.m.

Friday at 10 a.m., students from Brenham and Sealy will get the opportunity to meet with artists and watch as they begin their murals, ask questions, and learn from their techniques.  The students will also set up a pop-up gallery with their own personal work.

The VIP Tent, presented by Brianna’s Salad Dressing, is sold out for this year’s festival.  Attendees will receive reserved seating, mingling with the bands, artists, and a culinary tasting experience with food from the Inn at Dos Brisas, Jax, Love & Tacos, and 3B Desserts.

The Texas Arts and Music Festival is a non-profit organization focused on supporting art education and bringing visual and performing arts to Brenham and Washington County, for the community and surrounding area to enjoy for free.

The festival is made possible by generous sponsors and donations from:
