HALLOWEEN EVENTS IN WASHINGTON CO.

  

It might be a little chilly tomorrow (Thursday) night, but there will still be plenty of things to do around Washington County to celebrate Halloween.

Here are just a few of the events going on in the area:

From 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Great Pumpkin Patch will be open at Christ Lutheran Day School in Brenham at 104 Carlee Drive. Guests can stop by and pick out a pumpkin, and pictures in the pumpkin patch are always available.

Trick-or-treaters can look forward to the “Brenham Boo Bash” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. inside the Washington County Boys and Girls Club, at 1710 East Tom Green Street. Activities include trunk-or-treating, a haunted house, a mechanical bull, bumper cars, face painting, live music, and refreshments.

From 6 to 8 p.m., the Brenham Police Department and Brenham Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association will host their annual Halloween Candy Drive-Thru. Candy and donuts will be handed out for free at Max Donuts, at 1901 South Market Street in Brenham.

Drive-thru trick-or-treating will also be offered from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Christy Schlottmann Agency – Farmers Insurance in Brenham, at 201 North Park Street.

Starting at 6 p.m., Kruse Village at 1700 East Stone Street in Brenham will have a trunk-or-treat party, offering candy and other treats for kids.

Moving to Independence, the Prairie Hill – Rocky Hill Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual Fright Night from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on the town square. The department has partnered with area churches, 4-H groups, and families to provide plenty of fun and candy, along with family-friendly activities, at no cost.

Also in Independence will be the Fallapalooza at the Independence Baptist Church, at 10405 FM 50. The Fallapalooza will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and feature trick-or-treating, games, a bounce house, and food and drinks.

The First Baptist Church in Chappell Hill will host its annual Family Fall Festival from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Free food, candy and games will be offered at the church, located in Chappell Hill at 7675 FM 2447.  There will also be a giant slide, fire truck, and face painting.  Guests are asked to avoid wearing scary costumes.
