“CHRISTMAS AT THE MANSION” THIS WEEKEND

The historic Giddings Stone Mansion will be decorated in holiday splendor this weekend.

The 5th Annual Christmas at the Mansion event runs from today (Friday) through Sunday, offering tours of the mansion as well as the Ross Carroll Bennett and Giddings Wilkin houses.

Each room of the mansion will be decorated differently by Jennifer Hermann and the Hermann Furniture team, with the historic mansion as the backdrop.

Hermann says the mansion is decorated to not only give people ideas and inspiration for the holidays, but to also showcase the mansion’s beauty.

Guests can tour the mansion for a $5 donation to the Heritage Society of Washington County, or they can tour all three homes for $15 at the door, or $13 in advance.

After the tours, visitors are invited to Hermann Furniture and Hermann Emporium for wine, hors d’oeuvres and shopping. Ten percent of store sales will go to the Heritage Society of Washington County.

2018’s Christmas at the Mansion raised $9,000 for the Heritage Society.

Self-guided tours will be offered today (Friday) from 1 to 4 p.m., tomorrow (Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
