LOCAL MAN CHARGED WITH BURGLARY/ASSAULT

A Brenham man has been arrested after a burglary call, Sunday afternoon.
Police were called to the 700 block of Eleanor St., just before 3:00 p.m. to a burglary in progress.
Authorities were told that 48-year old David Coleman of Brenham had fled the scene just before they had arrived.
Coleman was found nearby a short time later.
He was charged with Burglary of Habitation with Intent to Commit Assault.
Coleman was transported to the Washington County Jail.
