BRENHAM EDF ELECTS NEW BOARD MEMBERS

  

The Brenham Economic Development Foundation has announced the winners of its recent board of directors election.

Five directors will serve a three-year term on the board starting in December. Two of those are newcomers to the board: Trey Hardy of Germania Insurance Companies, and Randy Hodde of Hodde Real Estate.

Hardy and Hodde join Blake Brannon of Brannon Industrial Group, Chad Gerke of Gerke Law Firm, and Catherine Kenjura of Lacina and Kenjura, PC, who were re-elected to serve another term.

The EDF board currently consists of 16 members, with three sets of five directors serving staggered terms and the immediate past chairman. The remainder of the board includes: Matt Bentke of Bluebonnet Electric, Chris Cangelosi of Citizens State Bank, Tee Dippel of Brenham National Bank, Mike Hopkins, Jr. of Mike Hopkins Distributing, Darren Huckert of Garza EMC, Jim Kolkhorst of Kolkhorst Foods, Jimmy Lawhorn of Blue Bell Creameries, Barney Loesch of Thrivent Financial, Melissa McCune of Baylor Scott & White, Jarvis Van Dyke of Van Dyke Rankin and Company, and Billy Holle (past chairman of the board), Seidel Schroeder & Co.

Gary Weiss of Germania Insurance and Arlen Thielemann of Thielemann Construction will be retiring from the Brenham Economic Development Foundation after each having served 9 years on the board of directors.  Current board chairman Tee Dippel thanked Weiss and Thielemann for their time on the board, and their dedication to economic development in Brenham and all of Washington County.
