WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO REVISIT HISTORIC MASTER PLAN PROPOSAL FOR COURTHOUSE

Washington County Commissioners will consider an amendment to the proposal for the Washington County Courthouse Historic Master Plan at their meeting Monday.

Back in March of 2018, commissioners approved a contract with ARCHITEXAS, an architectural firm that specializes in historical preservation and planning, to develop a Historic Master Plan.

The plan is required in order to apply for grants through the Texas Historical Commission. County Judge John Durrenberger said the amendment is necessary to move forward in the grant process.

Commissioners will also:

  • Consider a contract between Washington County EMS and REACH, and act on giving authority to the EMS Director to create the appropriate position description and revised organization chart to accomplish the updated EMS operation.
  • Look at a resolution authorizing the Washington County Environmental Health Department to submit a grant application to the Brazos Valley Council of Governments’ Regional Solid Waste Management Grants Program, for funding to conduct a local tire cleanup event for all county residents.
  • Consider a resolution casting votes for the candidates for membership for the Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors.
  • Hear a series of monthly reports.

Commissioners will meet Monday morning at 9 a.m., at the Washington County Courthouse.
