LAST WEEKEND FOR TEXAS RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL IN TODD MISSION
Anyone who still wants to experience Renaissance culture in a 16th century environment has one last weekend to head to Grimes County for the Texas Renaissance Festival.
The Festival’s 45th season concludes this Thanksgiving weekend on Sunday in Todd Mission, in between Plantersville and Magnolia. The festival will be open tomorrow (Friday).
Festival officials say the event, staged on over 55 acres of land, draws over 500,000 guests annually.
Activities include the “Fire Whip Show”, falconry by the “Birds of Prey”, jousting in “Hanlon-Lees Action Theatre”, music and dancing, and full-armored combat. Guests can also shop from artisans, craft smiths, jewelers, glass blowers and more in the festival village.
The festival is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and each day concludes with a royal fireworks display.
