WASHINGTON CO. TO ISSUE NEW VOTER CARDS

Voters in Washington County should soon receive new voter cards.

The office of Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel says new cards are being printed, and should be mailed out by the second week of December.

The state requires new cards to be sent out every other year, on years ending with odd numbers.  These new cards will be used for 2020’s primary and presidential elections.

The card features information such as the cardholder’s voting and county commissioners precinct, school district, and State and U.S. Representative district.

Voters should bring their voter cards and a photo ID when heading to the polls.  They are also encouraged to keep their voter cards in a safe place, like a wallet or a drawer.  Any changes to a voter card can be made at the county clerk’s office at the Washington County Courthouse.

Early voting for the March 3rd primary elections begins in mid-February.
