The holiday season is ramping up, and there are plenty of Christmas celebrations scheduled this weekend across the Brazos Valley.

Here are just a few of the events happening in the area:

  • Brenham has a slate of activities which began today (Friday) with the Jingle Bell Market and Farmers and Artisans Market, and continue tonight with the Tuba Christmas concert.  Tomorrow (Saturday) will feature Breakfast with Santa, the Sip, Shop and Stroll, and Santa’s Village, before rounding out with the lighting of the Christmas tree, the “Christmas Memories on Main” lighted parade, and rides on the 1950 Invader Fire Truck.  Visit http://jingle.cityofbrenham.org for more information.

  • Bellville’s 37th Annual Small Town Christmas celebration began Thursday with the Little Mister and Miss Small Town Christmas Pageant, and continues tonight in downtown.  Santa Claus will come to light the courthouse tree before the Small Town Christmas Parade.  Afterwards, there will be Mini-Park activities, a showing of “The Grinch”, and a street dance with the Red Bulls.  Continuing on Saturday, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand for breakfast, and there will be a Farmer’s Market and Market Day on the courthouse square.  To learn more, visit www.bellvillesmalltownchristmas.com.
