Children and their teddy bears are invited to Chappell Hill this weekend for the Annual Teddy Bear Parade.

The parade, hosted by the Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce, gets underway Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. at the Rock Store on 5070 Main Street.  Registration will open at 3 p.m.  The parade is open to all children, from infants on up.

Following the parade, Mrs. Claus will host a story time with punch and cookies.  Meanwhile, Santa will arrive from the North Pole at 4 p.m. on a Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire truck, and will visit with children, listen to their Christmas wishes, and pose for photos.

Entry forms for the parade can be found online at www.chappellhilltx.com.  Registration can also be done the day of the event.

Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce President John Wick says the event is “a great way to usher in the Christmas season”.  He invites everyone to come out and see the decorations downtown, and to stop by the homes on the Chappell Hill Garden Club’s Christmas Home Tour.

KTEX-106’s Holly Ryder will be there Saturday afternoon, in the friendly country cruiser.
