BLINN HOLDS FALL COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES
Blinn College recognized 541 graduates during its 142nd commencement ceremony Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the Bryan Performing Arts Center.
The commencement ceremony featured two student speakers – Austin Sean Youngs representing the Brenham Campus and Melanie Schaefer representing the Bryan Campus.
Youngs grew up in Bellville and is a graduate of Bellville High School. He is an art major with the goal of becoming an art teacher. He loves working with children and currently works at the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County.
A resident of Bryan-College Station for more than 40 years, Schaefer recently embarked on the journey to become a registered nurse. She has served as Vice President of the Blinn College Nursing Student Association for the past two semesters.
Registration is now open for Blinn’s Winter Minimester, which begins Monday, Dec. 16, and the Spring Semester, which begins Tuesday, Jan. 21.
