WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER BIDS FOR ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE, REPAIRS

Washington County Commissioners will meet Tuesday to consider accepting a bid for maintenance and repairs on the elevators in the courthouse and courthouse annex.

At their last meeting, commissioners opened bids from thyssenkrupp, EMR Elevator, and Otis Elevator Company to perform the work on the elevators.  The county recently rescinded its approval of a contract with Otis Elevator Company to provide labor and material for the courthouse annex elevator.

Commissioners will also consider a bid for fleet fuel for the Sheriff’s Office, Constables, District Attorney’s Office, EMS, environmental, and courthouse maintenance departments.  The bid on fleet fuel was tabled at the court’s last meeting in order to allow commissioners more time to consider, and to allow for a public safety department accessibility assessment.

The court will also hear several monthly reports.

Commissioners will also consider:

  • Approval of the 2018-19 financial audit of the Washington County Appraisal District by Seidel Schroeder and Company.
  • Approval of the volunteer fire department to purchase fire pagers.
  • A subdivision variance request for land fronting FM 50 in Precinct One.
  • A subdivision variance request for land fronting Triangle Z Lane in Precinct Four.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m., at the Washington County Courthouse.
