A HOLIDAY POEM FROM BISD PROJECT SEARCH
‘Twas two weeks before Christmas when all through the hospital
Five interns were working becoming unstoppable.
With the month of December moving lightsaber fast,
All the interns were wondering how to make the days last.
Every department, each staff member all opened their doors,
Welcoming each intern to come in and explore.
The staff and the doctors, the nurses and guests,
All watching and loving each intern’s success!
The cafeteria has Joseph, washing dishes never slow.
All staff enjoy working with him saying, “Please, Joseph don’t go!”
MaKenna worked in sports medicine, helping Casey and the team,
Cleaning mats, changing pillowcases and living the dream!
D’Asia worked in supply chain with Brad, Kelly, and An,
Stocking bins, making nurse’s bags and going beyond.
Dressed out like a doctor, Andy worked in OR,
Stocking, cleaning, checking dates just like a movie star.
Brooke stocked linens, unloading sheets, and gowns
Forty-seven thousand pieces, thirty-nine thousand pounds!
Here at our hospital, John’s team is put together,
Of people who care and come to work despite the weather.
To witness big changes, to encourage each intern,
To navigate their jobs like a novel of Jules Vern.
With the staff’s support and caring for each intern
We have seen the results and the jobs that they’ve earned,
From Blue Bell to Home Depot to Baylor Scott & White Hospital,
Each business hires interns that have been unstoppable.'
