CALDWELL ISD RECEIVES CELF GRANTS
A number of teachers in the Caldwell School District recently received approximately $4,000 in grants from the Caldwell Education Leadership Foundation.
Teachers in the Caldwell ISD were offered the chance to apply for “Mega Grants” for over $500 each or “Mini Grants” for under $500 each.
The second phase of grants were awarded in December to: Chella Gordon, high school librarian, for for “Hornets Can Do The Cube! Rubik’s Cube” activities; Rolando Rojas, high school Spanish teacher, for a new document camera; and Britney Garza, second-grade teacher, and the entire first grade team for flexible seating.
Superintendent Andrew Peters, said, “These grants allow for special purchases that may make a difference but are not in the regular budget. Usually, CELF considers items that are not required for the classroom but provide that ‘extra’ to make the classroom special.”
