FAYETTE CO. S.O. MAKES DRUG ARRESTS, TUESDAY

  

 

Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies had a busy day Monday, with a slew of drug arrests.

Around 3:00 a.m., 45-year old James Touchet of LaGrange and 26-year old Timothy King of Bastrop were pulled over on a traffic stop in Highway 71.  The two were arrested after authorities discovered syringes and methamphetamines.

More meth was discovered as the two were being processed at the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.  They were charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Touchet was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Correctional Facility.

During another traffic stop on a vehicle out of Bay City, a passenger, identified as Daniel Rojas of Bay City, admitted to one of the Investigators that he had Marijuana.

Rojas was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and taken into custody.

Later in the day the Narcotics Unit received information on possible drug activity at the Green Acres Apartments on Hwy 159 in LaGrange.

The unit obtained marijuana along with numerous amounts of drug paraphernalia.  The investigation is still ongoing at this time.

Towards the end of the day the Narcotics Unit initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving a residence of interest.

During a probable cause search, authorities found a handgun, ammunition, crystal-meth, black tar heroin, unidentified pills, two syringes loaded with liquid meth and a bottle of urine to pass a possible drug test.

Authorities arrested a man identified as Justin Miller on numerous charges.  He was taken to the Beck Justice Center.
