BRENHAM ISD, CITY OF BRENHAM TO HOLD ANTI-VAPING PARENT SESSION FEBRUARY 19TH

The community is invited to join Brenham ISD and the City of Brenham later this month to learn more about vaping.

Nationally recognized speaker Timothy Shoemaker will present “Save Your Breath” on Wednesday, February 19th from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library.

Cigarettes, e-cigs, and vapes are strictly prohibited at all Brenham ISD campuses, with school officials saying they are a distraction to learning and a health hazard to students.  The Brenham School Board at its meeting Monday passed an anti-vaping resolution.

Brenham ISD Superintendent Dr. Walter Jackson said parents and educators “have a shared responsibility to shape our children’s future, including educating them about potential dangers and consequences”.  He said he hopes parents will join the district in its efforts by having conversations with their children about these items, their potential dangers, and the consequences that come with their use.

Admission is free, but seating is limited.  To reserve a seat, click here.
