WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO PRESENT COMMENDATION TO COUNTY EMPLOYEE

Washington County Commissioners have a relatively routine agenda facing them when they meet Monday.

Commissioners will open up the meeting by presenting a commendation letter to a county employee for, according to the agenda, “going above and beyond the call” of job responsibilities.

According to County Judge John Durrenberger, the employee responded last month to a cardiac situation at the Washington County Courthouse, performing CPR on the victim until EMS could arrive. That employee will be recognized at the meeting.

Commissioners will also act on a right-of-way permit application for the CHI St. Joseph Health Gran Fondo, set for March 22nd.  The bike ride’s 70 and 100 mile routes will pass through Washington County.

Also in court, commissioners will consider:

  • Approving pay application #12 to Collier Construction for the Road and Bridge facility.
  • Approval of an interlocal cooperation contract failure to appear (FTA) program.
  • Approval to purchase a 2020 police package Chevrolet Tahoe for the deputy constable in Precinct One and trade in three high-mileage Tahoes.
  • Approval of a modification to the change fund for the Environmental Health Department as approved by the county auditor’s office, pursuant to Local Government Code 130.902.
  • Formal notice for utility installation for a two-inch road bore for a one-inch service line at 4825 Quail Run Road by PGMS-CWCWSC in Precinct Three.
  • Approving the cybersecurity course enrollment form for counties pursuant to Texas Government Code 2054.5191.
  • Approving two bills to be paid out of the courthouse security funds for the installation of cables and security cameras located in the courthouse.

Commissioners will meet Monday morning at 9 a.m., at the Washington County Courthouse.
