BRENHAM MAN ACCUSED OF SERIOUSLY INJURING CHILD ARRESTED AFTER MANHUNT IN B-CS
A Brenham man is facing several charges in Bryan-College Station after a Sunday afternoon manhunt.
(Brazos Co. Jail)
29-year-old Jamarious Davis has been charged with Assault of a Family Member, Evading Arrest or Detention, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Trespass. He is accused of seriously injuring a child just after midnight on Sunday at a motel in College Station.
A shelter-in-place warning was issued around 1:45 p.m. for residents north of Northgate, after Davis reportedly fled from SWAT officers. Davis managed to escape after jumping from a second-story window at an apartment complex in the 4000 block of College Main Street in Bryan.
A tip led officers to a residence on Nagle Street, where Davis was hiding in the attic. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment before being booked into the Brazos County Jail.
Court records show Davis’s assault charge was from an unrelated case in April. Additional charges are expected.
