42ND ANNUAL BLUE BELL FUN RUN SET FOR APRIL 18TH
Runners from all over the Brazos Valley are making plans to head to Brenham in April, for the 42nd Annual Blue Bell Fun Run.
Set for April 18th, the run is put on by the organization called Run for the Youth of Washington County, benefitting Brenham High School athletics.
The course starts and finishes at Brenham High School on FM 2935 off of Loop 577, on the north side of town in scenic and historic Washington County. The Trestle Trail guides runners down paved, winding roads, taking them through the bluebonnet-covered countryside.
Events include individual and team events in both a 5K and 10K, along with a Kids’ 1-Mile Run and a Half Marathon route. The first set of races kicks off at 7:30 a.m.
Top finishers will receive medals and trophies, but everyone who participates will get frozen treats from Blue Bell Creameries.
New this year, Blue Bell Fun Run participants will receive collectible medals clad with the design of a lid of a half-gallon of Blue Bell Ice Cream. Each year, the medal will change to a new flavor of Blue Bell. This year’s medal will feature Cookies ‘N Cream.
