NEW HOMES, COMMERCIAL REMODELING LEAD FEBRUARY BUILDING PERMITS
Several new homes and commercial renovations made up February’s list of building permits for the City of Brenham.

The city issued 32 permits in February worth $3,341,781, double the 16 permits for $1,376,492 from last February.
February’s largest permit was issued to Mill Creek Custom Homes for $408,167, for a new residence on Burleson Street. The second largest went to Thielemann Construction for $362,000, for a new home on Oak Hollow Lane.
Those new homes are two of nine permitted in February by the city, worth $1,624,867. Last February, the city permitted four new residences, worth $1,054,190.

Notable permits in February include one for $355,540 for Stanpac USA LLC, for interior remodeling of the break room/locker room; a $250,000 permit to Baylor Scott and White Hospital for interior remodeling of the hospital pharmacy; and two permits issued to H-E-B totaling $231,161, for demolition of the old Pizza Hut building and a parking lot addition.
So far this year, the city has issued 66 permits worth $7,532,519. Through this point last year, the city issued 43 permits for $5,219,077.
